Gucci launched its new capsule for ski and snowboard apparel called Vault Altitude on January 9, 2023.
For the new collection, Gucci partnered with 8 different brands, including Head Sports, one of the leading global providers of premium, high-performance equipment and apparel for athletes and players.
The Vault is best described as a cross between fashion and functionality, with partnerships amongst different athleticwear labels, creating bold ski gear with colorful street style designs.
Head Sportswear developed a selection of performance wear that includes vibrant colors and logos, with Swedish brand, Yniq, adding patterns to eccentric ski goggles. Additionally, the brand Moon Boot created its iconic moon-landing inspired footwear with flamboyant rainbow patterns and stars to match the rest of the collection. The Elder Statesman brand offered a mix of vintage-inspired detailing and technical fabrics with alpine motifs, while Gui Rosa focused on punk-inspired crocheted accessories.
This line not only has inspirations of street wear and flexibility, but it also has quite a loud presence with the use of flamboyant colors, prints, and patterns, making it one of a kind.
